Description
British Pollinator Flower Mix
Bring your garden to life with our British Pollinator Flower Mix, a carefully selected blend of 25+ diffrent species of premium wildflower, designed to support Britain’s declining pollinators. Whether you have a large garden, a small border, raised beds or dedicated wildlife areas, this vibrant mix produces beautiful flowers that provide valuable nectar and pollen throughout the growing season.
Every packet contains a diverse selection of annuals and perennials chosen to create an attractive display while benefiting bees, butterflies, hoverflies and many other important pollinating insects. By sowing wildflowers, you are creating habitat, increasing biodiversity and helping wildlife one patch at a time.
Natural Benefits
Wildflower meadows were once a common feature across Britain. Sadly, many have disappeared through modern farming and development, leaving pollinators with fewer food sources.
Our British Pollinator Flower Mix helps recreate these valuable habitats in gardens, allotments and community spaces. The carefully balanced blend offers a succession of blooms throughout the season, ensuring insects have access to nectar and pollen for longer.
Suitable for gardens of almost any size, this mix is an easy way to make a positive contribution to local wildlife.
Sowing Information
For the best results, sow between February and November into a sunny or partially shaded position.
Remove existing weeds and lightly rake the soil to create a fine seed bed. Scatter the seed evenly over the prepared area before gently firming it into the surface. Water during dry spells until the seedlings become established.
Avoid burying the seed too deeply, as many wildflower species germinate best close to the soil surface.
Aftercare
Once established, your wildflowers require very little maintenance.
Allow flowers to bloom naturally throughout the season before cutting them back once flowering has finished. Leaving seed heads standing into autumn and winter provides food and shelter for birds, insects and other wildlife.
Annual cutting helps maintain healthy wildflower displays year after year while encouraging fresh growth each spring.
